Hi, I’m Kevin King, Award-Winning Piano Tuner
I’m a former engineer (Penn State) who traded the corporate world for my true passion—bringing pianos to life. In 2011, I trained in Los Angeles under Deke Erdmann, the former piano tuner for the LA Philharmonic Orchestra, gaining a deep respect for the craft and an ear for perfection. That experience ignited my love for pianos and the intricate art of tuning.
As a classically trained pianist and violinist—and guitarist on both electric and acoustic—I understand music from both a performer’s and a technician’s perspective. I’m proud to serve as the official piano tuner for the Tempe Elementary School District, and I regularly tune for churches, concert halls, and venues across the Valley.
Whether I’m preparing a Steinway grand for the concert stage or fine-tuning a cherished family upright at home, I bring the same precision, care, and musical sensitivity to every instrument I touch. My goal is simple: to make your piano sound its absolute best—so every note sings.

I was recently reunited with my grandmother's piano, which hadn't been tuned in over 10 years. Every melody I played sounded like it came out of a haunted mansion. Kevin worked magic on that piano in less than 3 hours and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!

Kevin King is professional, prompt, and thorough. Worth every penny, which I felt was totally reasonably priced. My new (used) Kawai Piano sounds so good now!!! I will be getting regular tunings for my piano with Kevin.

Kevin did a great job tuning my baby grand. It sounds wonderful! He was efficient with his time and finished in probably an hour and fifteen minutes. Also he is a really nice guy and his fees are compatible with other piano tuners I've used. I'll definitely call him again.

Again - I am so happy with the results of my piano tuning yesterday. Kevin did an amazing job and took great care to ensure that my keys and pedals were ready to go for me. Playing the piano today, my board sounds just lovely!!! I loved his punctuality and professionalism as he got right to work and made me feel as if I was a very important customer. Had Kevin over yesterday to do a tuning and pitch raise along with a standard cleaning. It had been four years since my last tuning so it needed to be pitch raised and a very glad I did. I don’t play the piano, but my wife does and she was very appreciative that we finally got it tuned. I love piano music and Kevin did an awesome job And as an extra bonus, he also plays any plays very very well. Overall, he was here for about 3 1/2 hours in concentrated on getting the perfect pitch. From now on, I’m going to have him out every year to make sure we keep up with it.he said our Weber baby grand was in great shape and thought it was much newer than it was. My wife is hoping she can get the grandkids interested in taking some lessons. Thank you, Kevin. See you in about 359 days.

Kevin was on time, helped remind me of a few things I should do to care for my piano. He was a pleasure to have around, and I loved hearing him play as he finished up. His website is very convenient for scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
